Jerry Lee Housel's Obituary
Jerry Lee Housel, 62, of Emington, Illinois, formerly of Decatur and Casey, Illinois, passed away at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois. He was born on March 26, 1947 in Mattoon, IL, the son of James Wesley Housel and Myrtle Ann Hamilton Housel. He is survived by his brother, Wesley "Bucky" Housel of Casey, IL; sister, Sue Ghast of Casey, IL; daughter, Dana Woods and husband Troy of Blue Mound, IL; grandchildren, Amber Smith, Ashlyn Howell, and Ally Smith; step brother, Eddie Joe Bostick and wife Brenda of Springfield, IL; step sisters, Cheryl McEvers of Murryville, IL and Vickie Webb of Cooperton, CA; step daughter, Amy Crouch and husband Tim of Cullom, IL and their children, Anthony, Amber, Timmy and grandchild, Braylyn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Housel and Myrtle Bostick, brother, Danny Housel, daughter, Dawn Sue Housel and companion of many years, Sharon Corbin. Jerry was a US Army Veteran and a retired truck driver. He was an avid go-cart and racecar fan and enjoyed sponsoring and working on cars. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery in Casey, IL with Pastor Mark Copley officiating.
