Jerry Dale Hepner's Obituary
Jerry Dale Hepner, age 79, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 7:20 pm on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born April 2, 1938 in Flat Rock, IL the son of Charles Dale Hepner and Pauline Elsie Lewis Hepner. On August 29, 1974 he married Catherine Virginia Talmadge in Dyer, IN. She passed away on September 5, 2010.Survivors include his sister, Cleo Lawson of Flat Rock, IL; sisters in law, Sue Hepner of Valparaiso, IN; Nancy Hepner of FL; Betty Hepner Gaarder of Sherman, TX; several nephews and nieces including Michael Sanger of Martinsville, IL; Christina (Chrissy) Leffler and husband Brian of Willow Hill, IL; Deborah Pleij and husband Rudolf of Martinsville, IL and special friends, George and Donna Krug of Griffith, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, stepsons, Gary Dean Allen and Kevin D. Allen; brothers, Donnie, Harry, Bob and Art Hepner and sisters, Dixie Best and Dorothy Sanger.Jerry was a US Airforce veteran serving his country from 1957" " 1961. He worked in the steel mills in Hammond, IN for many years. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling, playing cards, slots and lottery tickets and being around people.Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Jones Cemetery, Flat Rock, IL with Rev.
