Jeffrey Scott Littlejohn's Obituary
Jeffrey Scott Littlejohn, 56, of Casey, IL passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at his home. He was born December 17, 1957 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Donald Alfred Littlejohn and Marjorie Mae Wheatley Littlejohn. On July 5, 1980 he married Julia Diane Sherwood in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife, Julie Littlejohn of Casey, IL; son, Ian Littlejohn and wife Bethany of Casey, IL; daughter, Hannah Littlejohn of Casey, IL; brother, Gary Littlejohn and wife Grace of Hot Springs, AR; sister, Cathy Sherwood and husband Mike of Casey, IL; nieces and nephews, Shawn Huisinga and husband Dale, Jr.; Karri Broaddus and husband Shaye; Nick Sherwood and wife Echo; Kelly Sherwood and Josh Sherwood; father in law, Keith Sherwood and wife Sandra; mother in law, Pam Connelly and husband Jack; brother in law, Jeff Sherwood; great nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Scott was a 1976 graduate of Casey High School. He attended Lake Land College and was a 1980 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Scott taught agriculture at Westfield High School from 1981 through 1986; Kansas High School from 1986 through 1991 and Shiloh High School from 1989 through 1991. Scott was a lifelong grain farmer in the Casey area and owned and operated Littlejohn Repair Service. He previously owned and operated Littlejohn Satellite Service with his dad for many years. He was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was a board member of Norris Electric Cooperative; a member of the Round Grove Sportsman's Club and the Martinsville Fair Board. Scott enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles and Fantasy Football. Scott was extremely easy-going and enjoyed life to the fullest. One of his greatest attributes was to always be able to laugh at life. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Casey United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Penelope H. Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. the Casey United Methodist Church, 703 N State Hwy 49, Casey, IL.
