Jay Dean Hacker's Obituary
Jay Dean Hacker, age 70, of Westfield, died on Monday, October 3, 2005 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Westfield with Ray Finney and Rev. Kenny Inman officiating. No visitation is planned. He was born August 9, 1935 in Coles County, the son of George Dewey and Genevieve E. Inman Hacker. He married Dorothy Beasley on November 19, 1954; she survives. He was owner of Hacker Apple Orchard; a pipefitter at the Cereal Mill in Paris and an AG mechanic and AG mechanic instructor. He was a member of the Garden Tractor Pullers Association. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, of Westfield, daughter Deborah Lindley and husband Scott of West Union, sons Jeff Hacker and wife Donna of Westfield and Monty Hacker and wife Malia of Decatur, brother Mick Hacker of Charleston, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dewey E. and Robert E. Hacker. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
