James Keith (Jim) Humphres, 48, of Hidalgo, IL passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010 in Newton, IL. He was born on August 12, 1961 in Hammond, IN, the son of Eugene Humphres and Sarah O. Lancaster Humphres. On April 5, 1986, he married Toni Ritter in Newton, IL. Survivors include his wife of twenty-four years, Toni Humphres of Hidalgo, IL; daughter, Jennifer Humphres of Newton, IL; mother, Sarah Zarn and husband Elmer of Neoga, IL; brother in law, Brent Ritter and wife Gina of Casey, IL; sister in law, Gayle Fossoy and husband Dan of Independence, KS; niece, Whitney Ritter; nephew, Brandon Ritter and uncle, Charles Lancaster of Wharton, TX. He was preceded in death by his father. Jim was employed as a CNC Operator with GSI in Newton, IL. He previously worked for Steven's Industries in Teutopolis, IL. He was a US Navy Veteran. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Pastor David Heath officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Cemetery, south of Casey, IL with Graveside Military Rites by the Casey VFW and the Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Oblong Christian Children's Home, 1094 E. 1050th Ave., Oblong, IL 62449. Memorial tributes may be sent to the family at www.markwellfuneralhome.com.
