Jack K. Shawver, 78, of Casey, IL passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. He was born on January 18, 1937 in Casey, IL, the son of Harold Kelley Shawver and Eileen Lenor Flenner Shawver. On July 19, 1957, he married Jill Huddlestun in Marshall, IL. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jill Shawver of Casey, IL; sons, Jack Shawver and wife Vicki of Olney, IL; David Shawver and wife Kathy of Casey, IL and Scott Shawver and wife Sally of Casey, IL; daughter, Donna Biggs and husband Shelby of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Lacy (Kirk) Walters of Olney, IL; Colby (Alexis) Shawver of Olney, IL; Brittany (Conner) Dixon of Olney, IL; Kacie (Brian) Rhoads of Casey, IL; Korie (Will) Schaefer of Robinson, IL; Kirk Shawver of Casey, IL; Alex (Kortnie) Shawver of Altamont, IL; Gavin Shawver of Casey, IL; Blake (Whitney) Biggs of Champaign, IL; Taylor Biggs of Casey, IL and Beau Biggs of Casey, IL; great grandchildren, Rylan and Irelan Walters; Parker and Case Shawver; Brynn Dixon; Braden, Hudson, Asher and Ryder Rhoads; Madilyn, Max and Liam Schaefer and Rayna Shawver and sister in law, Janice Richardson of Casey, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronald Neil Shawver and sister, Phyllis Sue Crandall Houpt. Jack was a 1955 graduate of Casey High School. He was the former owner of Casey Heating and Appliance and was a partial owner of FAS - Fertilizer Application Systems. He also was a salesman for Yargus Manufacturing for over 20 years until his retirement. Jack was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church. He was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Casey Masonic Lodge. Jack's greatest pleasures were working on his farm and enjoying his children's and grandchildren's activities. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Casey United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Penelope Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday prior to the service at the Casey United Methodist Church, 703 N. State Hwy 49, Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Casey United Methodist Church "Helping Hands" 703 N. State Hwy 49, Casey, IL.
