Jack D Ring's Obituary
Jackie Dean "Jack" Ring, 77 of Casey, IL passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at his home. Jack was born February 1, 1929 in Casey, IL to Luther Michael Ring and Nora Belle Hires Ring. On December 26, 1950 in Robinson, IL he married Dorothy Mae Brewer, she survives. Other survivors include sons, Steven Ring and wife Betty of Effingham, IL; Dennis Ring and wife Marsha of Casey, IL; Clay Ring and wife Lori of Casey, IL; brothers, Harvey Lee Ring and wife Dorothy Jean of Westfield, IL; Larry Michael Ring and wife Bobbie of Westfield, IL; sister, Juanita Applegate of Casey, IL; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lester Ring and sisters, Myrtle Harris, Maureen Tutewiler and Minta Pence. Jack was a Sanitation Engineer for the City of Casey wastewater plant for over 22 years. He also worked for M&E Drilling Co. for 18 years. As a young man he worked for Markwell Funeral Home. He was a US Army Korean War veteran and member of the Casey VFW. Jack was a member and trustee of Casey White Oak Church of God. He was a volunteer and historian for the Casey Township Library. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. David Ridge and Rev. Kenny Inman officiating. Burial will be in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites by the Casey V.F.W. and Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice or Casey White Oak Church of God.
