Irene Whitling's Obituary
Irene Whitling, 90, of Casey, IL passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. She was born September 10, 1924 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Aaron Thomas Stinson and Nettie Reinbolt Stinson. On July 11, 1942 she married Alfred John Whitling in St. Charles, MO. He passed away January 2, 1997. Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Frohock of Southside, AL and Diana Washburn of Casey, IL; brother, Oscar Stinson of Casey, IL; sister, Norma Butcher of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Lori Wilson and husband Scott, Sherry Wandke and husband Mark, Jeff Frohock, and Jenny Maynard and husband Kevin; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, sisters, Helen Updegraff, Mary Murphy and Thelma Orrell, and brother, Don Stinson. Irene enjoyed reading, playing cards, gardening and doing circle-the-word books. She loved to play with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Irene enjoyed her daily walk with her sister Norma. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Nave officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to Casey Health Care Center, 100 NE 15th St., Casey, IL 62420.
