Iran W "Woody" Woodworth's Obituary
Iran W. "Woody" Woodworth, 92, of Casey, IL formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2008 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. He was born September 15, 1915 in Casey, Illinois, the son of Albert Woodworth and Ida Woodburn Woodworth. He married Edna Haley on June 27, 1936 in Casey, IL; she passed away on May 12, 1995. He later married Pearl Lunoris Wells Toner; she passed away on December 15, 2007. Survivors include his daughter, Helen Reed of Orange City, FL; grandson, Amos Andrew Reed of Daytona Beach, FL; step grandchildren, Pearletta Robinson, Jenny Lee Yeigh, Stacy Toner, Tish Wittenmyer, Thomas Toner, Jr., William Toner, James Toner, Lori Davis, Kari Jost, Sherri Alier, Janet Gross and Karla Martino; several step great grandchildren, several step great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His parents, wives, son in law, O'Dell Reed, grandson, Timothy Lynn Reed and six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Woody worked in masonry in the Casey area and in Orange City, FL. He was a US Navy WWII veteran and a member of God's Missionary Church in Martinsville, IL. Woody was a kind and compassionate father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL with Rev. George Nika officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hollywood Cemetery, Orange City, Florida.
