Hazel Irene Redman's Obituary
Hazel Irene Redman, 89, of Westfield, Illinois passed away at 10:29 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center surrounded by her family. She was born December 23, 1918 in Casey, Illinois, the daughter of Harry Franklin Davidson and Belva Jane Beasley Davidson. On June 29, 1940 she married Victor Pearl Redman in Henderson, Kentucky. They shared sixty-two years of marriage before he passed away on February 21, 2003. Survivors include her four children; son, Dennis Redman and wife Diana of Westfield, IL; daughter, Sandra Lamb and husband Steve of Westfield, IL; daughter, Carolyn Paul and husband Bob of Westfield, IL and son, Mark Redman of Westfield, IL. She was adored by her ten grandchildren, Shellie Keigley and husband Steve, Paula Blair and husband Tim, Jennifer Redman and fiancé Doug Duncan, Kim Vidoni and husband Chad, Jill Valdez and husband Oscar, Kylie Foster and husband Jeremy, April Isley and husband Chad, Jeff Redman and friend Kristy Livingston, Lindsay Redman and Julia Redman and sixteen great grandchildren, all of whom she loved to spoil. She is also survived by brothers, Marion (Pete) Davidson, David Davidson; sisters, Lois Earhart, Ann Crites, Joan Elkins, Janice Crites and sister in law Elizabeth Sanders. Her parents, husband, four brothers, five sisters and granddaughter, Megan Paul preceded her in death. Hazel was a homemaker and a member of the Casey Church of God. Hazel's kitchen was always full of food and life. Her door was always open. Her home cooking, noodles and donuts drew people into her home. They stayed for the lessons, laughter and wisdom. Everyone that entered was family and left with a smile. Hazel's spunk, honesty and love molded and inspired all who were fortunate enough to have crossed her path. She will be missed everyday, but her spirit lives strong in the hearts of those who love her. Funeral services celebrating her life will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, Illinois with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will be in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4 to 7 at the funeral home in Casey.
