Hazel Irene Bishop Moyer's Obituary
Hazel Irene Bishop Moyer, 88, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 2:02 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born September 2, 1924 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Charles Grant Reed and Goldie Johnson Reed. On September 29, 1946 she married Clifford Leroy Bishop; he passed away on July 15, 1979. Later she married Ralph Moyer who also preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, LeRoy Bishop and wife Sharon of Martinsville, IL; brother, Ray Lavern Reed of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Catherine Carty of Springfield, IL and Wanda Marie McKinzie and husband LeRoy of Mattoon, IL; special friend and soul mate, James Toner and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers, James Reed, Charles G. Reed, Jr. and Robert Reed, sisters, Elnora Terrell, Lucille Carson and Dorothy Reed and four year old daughter, Cheryl Diane Bishop. Mrs. Moyer retired in 1979 as a line worker from TRW in Marshall after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Martinsville Bible Church and the Martinsville American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL with Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
