Harold Wayne Sandiford's Obituary
Harold Wayne Sandiford, age 69, of rural Casey, IL passed away at 8:41a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving children and family. He was born April 8, 1950 to Rexall "Doc" & Roberta Helen Wolfe Sandiford in Terre Haute, IN. On November 13, 1971 he married the love of his life Vickie L. Duvall at the Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in rural Clark County, IL. She passed away on October 31, 2011. He attended Casey High School and in 1968 he joined the U.S Army where he served as a watercraft private. After retiring from the Army, he was an oil field worker until he retired. In his free time he enjoyed taking road trips, mushroom hunting, resale shopping, and being around people and his large family. Survivors include: Son, Roger Sandiford and friend Ashley Brown of Casey, IL, Daughter, Becky Sandiford Turner of rural Casey, IL, daughter-in-law Amanda Sandiford of Casey, IL, Grandchildren, Kylee Cown(Taylor), Kyle Sandiford, Matthew B Sandiford(Avery), Homer Cown (Dancie), Jon, Chris, and Kelsie Sandiford and Bryce Brown. Great Grandchildren, Damien, Araelynn, and Gracie. Siblings, Chuck Sandiford (Sandy) of Pigeon Forge, TN, Danny Sandiford (Micki) of Sevierville, TN, Connie Drum (Morris) of Casey, IL, Mike Sandiford of Charleston, IL, Paul Sandiford (Pam), of Oblong, IL, Myron Sandiford (Kim) of Shobonier, IL, David Sandiford (Lori) of rural Casey, IL, Steven Sandiford (Vicki) of rural Casey, IL as well as many nieces, nephews, lifelong friends and his loving pet, Hank. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years Vickie L. Sandiford, his grandparents, parents, sister Linda, brother Eugene, and his mother and father-in-law Smokey & June Duvall. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth (Bud) Wade and Brother Matthew B. Sandiford officiating. Burial will follow at the Partlow Cemetery, rural Casey, IL with graveside military rites by Casey VFW and Martinsville American Legion.
