Harold Leon Dillier's Obituary
Harold Leon Dillier, 77, of Casey, IL passed away at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. He was born July 3, 1936 in Johnson Township, Clark County, IL, the son of Elza H. Dillier and Lucille Simpson Dillier. On December 20, 1954 he married Elsie Cutright in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Dillier of Casey, IL; son, Randy (Brenda) Dillier of Casey, IL; daughter, Brenda (Kurt) Edens of Casey, IL; sister, Carolyn (Tom) Baker of Paris, IL; grandchildren, Clint Dillier of Boston, MA; Jenna (Shane) Edwards of Olney, IL; Lucas (Katie) Dillier of Casey, IL; Weston (fiancé Vicky) Edens of Columbia, MD; Michael (Karri) Edens of Casey, IL; Kelsey Edens of Casey, IL; great grandchildren, Grayson Edwards, Jedson Dillier, Breanne Edwards and Logan Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marsha Kay Dillier. Leon was a 1954 graduate of Casey High School. Upon graduation he worked in the oilfield for his uncle W.L. Dillier. Leon was a lifelong farmer in the Casey area; he farmed first with his dad and later with his son. Although Leon had retired he was still very active. Leon was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church and served on the board of Marshall Mutual for over thirty years. Leon and Elsie enjoyed traveling. Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Casey United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Penelope Barber officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Casey United Methodist Church, 703 N State Hwy 49, Casey, IL.
