Gerald Lee Jones, age 78, of Casey, IL passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Casey Health Care, Casey, IL. He was born August 3, 1939 in Homer, IL, the son of William Franklin Jones and Anna Louise Wilson Jones. On October 4, 1969 he married Anita Reye Brewer in Westfield, IL. She passed away on December 15, 2017.Survivors include his daughter, Anna Gardner (Tom) of Beecher City, IL; sons, Corey Jones of Casey, IL; David Jones (Samantha) of Toledo, IL; Robert Reynolds (Verna) of Casey, IL and Timothy Creighton (Debra) of Benson, NC; sister, Betty Ann Vann of Skokie, IL; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Anita Jones; brother, Robert William Jones; son, Lawrence Reynolds and grandson, SGT Andrew Creighton.Gerald previously worked at Agri-Fab, Inc. in Sullivan, IL as a machinist and Best Feed Store in Casey, IL. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N.
