Gerald Bradley (Brad) Beeson's Obituary
Gerald Bradley Beeson, age 62, of Casey, IL passed away at 4:35 a.m. on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN. He was born July 16, 1960 in Paris, IL, the son of Gerald Charles Beeson and Donna Eileen Widdows Beeson.
Survivors include his longtime companion of nineteen years, Annette Fain of Casey, IL; son, Andrew Bradley Beeson (Jodi) of Greenwood, IN; grandchildren, Preslie Joy Beeson and Gunnar David Bradley Beeson; stepchildren, Katie Fain, Leslie Richardson (Levi) and Nick Fain; step grandchildren, Kaylen, Eli, Silas and Ian; sister, Sherry Sloan (Dean) of Casey, IL; nephews, Joe Sloan (Marion), Tony Sloan (Tori) and Clint Sloan (Anna); great nephews and nieces, Andre Sloan, Joslyn Sloan, Mya Sloan, Ava Sloan, Ali Sloan, Cale Sloan, Knox Sloan, Rene Garza, Liam Lanier and Arik Sloan; aunt, Shirley Savage of Casey, IL and many beloved cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Eileen Beeson.
Brad was a 1978 graduate of Casey High School. He was a US Army veteran serving his country as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was also an instructor for the US Army Sniper School. Brad retired after working at Evapco in Greenup, IL for 8 years; he previously worked as a telephone contractor for over 25 years. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, mushroom hunting, transferring wildflowers, root digging and digging for ginseng.
Graveside service and inurnment with military rites provided by the Casey VFW and Martinsville American Legion will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL with Pastor Eddie Hammond officiating.
