Geneva Pearl Hudson's Obituary
Geneva Pearl Hudson, 88, of Casey, Illinois passed away at 12:40 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2009 at the Heartland Manor Nursing Center, Casey, Illinois. She was born August 9, 1920 in Casey, Illinois, the daughter of Lebert Johnson and Clara Dean Faunce Johnson. On June 29, 1940 she married George M. Hudson in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, George M. Hudson of Casey, IL; son, Dr. Hal Curtis Hudson and wife Alice Marie Hudson of Caro, MI; grandson, Hal Curtis Hudson, Jr.; granddaughters, Dalice Janice Hudson and Lecretia Leanne Hudson and sister, Marie Shanks of Martinsville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Janice Earlene Ormsby on October 10, 1968; brothers, Wayne Johnson and Paul Johnson, and sister, Ruth Smith. Mrs. Hudson was a homemaker and former employee of Casey TRW Cinch. She attended the Hazel Dell Church of God in Hazel Dell, IL and the former Casey Church of God in Casey, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Rick Emrich officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to Heartland Manor Nursing Center, P.O. Box 10, Casey, IL 62420.
