Franklin B "Frank" Sherwood's Obituary
Franklin B. Sherwood, 88, of Casey, IL passed away at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL. He was born on July 5, 1925 in Union Township, Cumberland County, IL, the son of Howard Wesley Sherwood and Laura Pearl Gray Sherwood. Survivors include his son, Mike (Cathy) Sherwood of Casey, IL; daughter, Sue (Clarence) Huber of Taylorville, IL; brothers, Darrell "Dean" Sherwood of Casey, IL and Keith (Sandy) Sherwood of Casey, IL; special friend, Ellen Schlieckau of Martinsville, IL; grandchildren, Nick (Echo) Sherwood of Casey, IL, Karri (Shaye) Broaddus of Chatham, IL and Kelly Sherwood (fiancé, Andrew Johnson) of Madison, WI; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, brother, Robert "Bud" Sherwood and sisters, Rosemary Sherwood and Dora Cox. Frank was a lifelong farmer. He was a partner in Greenup Grain Company for a few years. Frank later owned Sherwood Feed Service in Marshall, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Jan Harris officiating. Burial will be at the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, rural Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held from 2 on 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N.
