Frances Lillian Kemper's Obituary
Frances Lillian Kemper, age 84, of Casey, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 12, 1940 in Moccasin, IL the daughter of Grover C. Morehead and Martha Frances (Jacks) Morehead. On January 10, 1959 she married Rex Lloyd Kemper in Casey, IL.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Rex Kemper of Casey, IL, children, Julia Attaway of Robinson, IL, Christina Goble (Rex) of Kansas, IL and Lloyd Kemper (Robin) of Martinsville, IL, sisters, Marian Black (Jesse) of Casey, IL and Elaine Perisho (Ronald) of Leesburg, FL, fifteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and one on the way, many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. Jim Powell, significant other of Diana Nelson, her daughter who passed away on December 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Alfie Morehead and David Morehead; sister, Jerilyn Jean Apple; daughter, Diana Lynn (Kemper) Nelson and great granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Goble.
Frances was a 1958 graduate of Casey High School. She was a waitress at the Rex Restaurant in Casey, IL; she worked as assistant City Clerk and City Clerk for the City of Casey and as an income tax preparer and office manager for H&R Block. Frances concluded her career after 23 years as office manager for Kemper Industries. She was a faithful prayer warrior and longtime member of Casey First Baptist Church. Frances has lived a committed, adventurous and rewarding life with her family. She would like to be remembered as a kind, loving, compassionate, amazing, helpful and all around great person. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her, especially her family.
Visitation will be held from 5 -7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Casey First Baptist Church, 101 E. Alabama St., Casey, IL. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Casey First Baptist Church with Pastor Brent Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, rural Greenup, IL.
