Forrest Coleman's Obituary
Forrest Alexander "Ike" Coleman, age 90, of Casey, died on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Casey Health Care Center in Casey. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2005 at the Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey with Rev. Larry Howard officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and burial will be in the Lindsey Cemetery north of Casey. He was born April 3, 1915 in Fountain County, IN, the son of Charles Amos and Emma Mary Ellen Logan Coleman. He married Anna Bowman on October 15, 1938 in Sterling, IN; she preceded him in death on March 16, 1986. He then married Alice Vera Earhart Warner in November 1991 in Clark County; she survives. He was a retired farmer and a World War II Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Vera Warner Coleman of Casey, step-children Charles Warner and wife Joyce of Mattoon, Linda Davis and husband Bob of Westfield, Howard Warner and wife Betty of Martinsville and Ruth Storment and husband Garry of Ashmore, nephews Ralph Underwood and wife Janive of Danville, George Underwood and wife Karen of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Robert J.K. Edmonds of Mace, Indiana, nieces Emma Cromwell and husband Blaine of Danville, Edna Underwood of Danville, Helen Estep of Rossville and Jeanne Pataki and husband Don of Covington, Indiana, several great nieces and nephews, 29 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and three sisters.
