Floyd Ray Brock, Sr., 53, of Terre Haute, IN formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away at 4:38 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born February 16, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Dewey Gordon Brock, Sr. and Christine LaRae Southard Brock Shanks. Survivors include son, Floyd Brock, Jr. of Martinsville, IL; son, Dakota "Cody" Brock of Manchester, TN; brother, Everett Brock of Knoxville, TN; half sister, Susann Shanks of Terre Haute, IN; half sister, Susie Brock Christ of Indianapolis, IN; half brother, Bobby Gordon McKinzie of Indianapolis, IN; stepfather, Clifford Shanks of Martinsville, IL; stepchildren, John Weir of Unionville, TN; Bambi Weir of Manchester, TN and Cindy Weir of Manchester, TN; niece, Brittni Christ of Englewood, FL and nephew, Matt Christ of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dewey Gordon Brock, Jr. Floyd was a 1975 graduate of Martinsville High School. He previously worked for Focus Formulations and Heartland Pork in Martinsville, IL. He loved to sing karaoke and won many contests. Floyd spent many hours watching his favorite television show, Law & Order. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Gene Southard officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to Terre Haute Humane Society, P.O. Box 3307, Terre Haute, IN 47803.
