Fenton Beabout's Obituary
Fenton Beabout, 89, of Casey, IL passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Heartland Manor, Casey, IL. He was born July 20, 1921 in Martinsville, IL, the son of Arthur Beabout and Elsie Nettie Kitchen Beabout. On August 9, 1947, he married Linda Marguerite Lamb in Charleston, IL. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-three years, Linda of Casey, IL; son, Scott Beabout of Casey, IL; daughter, Sherri Snearley and husband Jerry of Martinsville, IL; brother, Richard Beabout and wife Betty of Marshall, IL; daughter in law, Linda Beabout of Charleston, IL; son in law, Roger Ulrey of Casey, IL; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sue Annette Ulrey; son, Lyle Fenton Beabout; brother, Glen Beabout and sister, Rosemary Hill. Mr. Beabout was a self employed farmer. He was a US Navy World War II veteran, serving from 1942 to 1946. Fenton was a member of the Casey United Methodist Church, the Casey VFW and the American Legion. He was a member of the Farm Bureau since 1947 and a Parker Township Supervisor. He was also a member of the Casey School Board in the 1950's. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with the Rev. Dr. Penelope Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites by the Casey VFW and Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday morning at the funeral home. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Casey VFW, 300 S. Central Ave., Casey, IL 62420.
