Evelyn Bernice "Etta" Linn's Obituary
Evelyn "Etta" Bernice Linn, 89, of Casey, Illinois, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born on May 29, 1921 in Martinsville, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Irwin and Helen Irene Morlan Lamb. On September 22, 1940, she married Warren Emerson Linn in Henderson, Kentucky. He survives. Survivors also include her son, Larry Eugene Linn and wife Zella of Boca Raton, FL; sisters, Carolyn Cutright and husband Tony of Casey, IL, Wilma Wortman of Minneapolis, MN, Virginia Guy of Martinsville, IL, Naomi Tipsword of Decatur, IL, and Joan Ogle and husband Holly of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Nancy Eady and husband Mark of Tallassee, AL, Col. Cheryl Carter and husband John of Severn, MD, and Stacy Moon and husband Buddy of Huntsville, AL; great granddaughter, Kayla Linn Eady, and mother of her granddaughters, Dottie Linn of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Gloria Ryerson, Betty Lowrey and Amanda Black, and brother, Robert Lamb. Evelyn was a member of the First Christian Church of Casey and a Past Noble Grand of the Kedar Rebekahs in Casey, IL. For over 20 years after high school, she was a top stitcher at Ettelbrick Shoe Factory in Casey. She was also employed by SKF Manufacturing Company for 22 years in the packaging department. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, IL with Rev. Randy Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Donor's Choice.
