Evelyn Bailey's Obituary
Evelyn Bailey, 88, of Effingham, IL formerly of Clark County, IL passed away 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Effingham, IL. She was born September 24, 1922, in Clark County, IL, the daughter of Ed Nash and Annetta Jane Lingafelter Nash. On June 28, 1939, she married Leon Bailey in Russellville, KY. He passed away December 6, 2000. She is survived by her son, Randall Bailey and wife Katherine of Effingham, IL; granddaughters, Belinda Henriksen and husband Mark of Ballwin, MO and Leanne Ritter and husband Brandon of Woodlawn, IL; great grandchildren, Vincent Bailey, Isabelle Ritter and Alexandria Henriksen and brother, Herschel Nash of Humboldt, IL. She was preceded by her parents, husband, brothers, Stanley Nash and Leland Nash and sisters, Frances Nash, Elnora Baker, Mildred Washburn and Agnes Lingafelter. Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and had worked at Martin's IGA in Effingham, IL. She had also previously worked for Champion Laboratories in Albion, IL and Heath Candy Factory in Robinson, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Roger Marshall and Rev. Randy Nave officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery, south of Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater IL Chapter, 303 N. Hershey Rd., Bloomington, IL 61704 or the American Cancer Society, 2509 S.
