Eva Lorene Gardner's Obituary
Eva Lorene Gardner, age 85, of Casey died on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the Davis Gardens in Terre Haute, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey with Mr. Gale Towles officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2005 at the funeral home and burial will be in the Casey-Cumberland Cemetery. She was born August 9, 1920 in Salisbury, IL, the daughter of Arthur Freeman and Elsie Cloe Walters Biggs. She married Hilbert "Cud" Gardner on February 3, 1940 in Henderson, KY; he preceded her in death on November 5, 1980. She was a homemaker and a cook at the Casey High School cafeteria. She also worked for TRW and Eaton in Casey. She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Casey. Surviving are her twin children, Phillip Gardner and wife Jeanne of Morton, IL and Janet Burson and husband Jerry of Casey, grandchildren Brad Burson and wife Ronda of Casey, Tami Whithaus and husband Jeff of Robinson, Gregg Burson and wife Emily of Casey, Abby Tiffin and husband Troy of Casey, Byron Gardner and wife Marcie of Peoria and Nathan Gardner and wife Nikki of Morton, great-grandchildren Stiles, Lydon and Jocossa Burson, Travis and Warren Whithaus, Isaac and Benjamin Burson, Baylor Myers, Ellery Gardner, Lucy Gardner, Charyssa, Amanda and Taelor Tiffon, two brothers Jack Biggs of Chandler, NC and Ben Biggs and wife Joyce of Peachtree City, GA and two sisters, Esther Wright of Lakewood, CO and Geneva Chew of Sidell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Russell and Harlie Biggs and sisters Flossie Biggs and Kathryn Bock.
