Gene Sandiford, 57, of Casey, IL passed away at 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL. He was born April 14, 1951 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Rexall "Doc" Sandiford and Roberta Helen Wolfe Sandiford. Survivors include his brothers, Charles R. Sandiford and wife Sandy of Pigeon Forge, TN; Harold W. Sandiford and wife Vickie of Oblong, IL; Danny L. Sandiford and wife Micki of Cowden, IL; Michael R. Sandiford of Charleston, IL; Paul Sandiford and wife Pam of Oblong, IL; Myron Sandiford of Ramsey, IL; David Sandiford and wife Lori of Casey, IL; Steven Sandiford and wife Vicki of Casey, IL; sister, Connie L. Drum and husband Morris of Casey, IL. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Sandiford. Gene was the owner of R and R Painting. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Ronnie Gross officiating.
