Ethel Irene Hainley's Obituary
Ethel Irene Hainley, 89, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 6:55 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Burnsides Community Health Center, Marshall, IL. She was born on March 19, 1921, south of Casey, Clark County, IL, the daughter of Elza Leonard Ulrey and Nancy Emmaline Elliott Ulrey. On October 4, 1937, she married Raymond W. Hainley in Terre Haute, IN. He passed away on December 29, 2001. Survivors include her son, Keith Hainley and wife Christine of Woonsochet, RI; daughter in law, Kay Hainley of Martinsville, IN; daughter in law, Sarah Munson and husband Ken of Martinsville, IL; sister, Beth Bartholomew and husband Ernie of Arthur, IL; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Allison of Martinsville, IL; brother-in-law, Don McFarling of Indianapolis, IN, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, husband, sons, Leroy (Bud) Hainley and Leonard Hainley; sisters, Linda McFarling and Rosalie Highsmith; brothers, Leonard Owen and Loren Lee Ulrey and granddaughter, Rhonda Hainley. Ethel retired as a bookkeeper for McFarling Foods in Terre Haute, IN. She was a seventy year member of the Martinsville Bible Church, Martinsville, IL. She was a sixty-four year member and a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ste. Grace Chapter 496, a member of the Casey White Shrine and a member of the Martinsville American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 10:30am, on January 18th, 2011, at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL with Rev. Billie Ray Ulrey, Rev. David Wilson, and Rev. Richard Amerine officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. with Eastern Star Services at 7:30 pm on Monday evening at the funeral home by the Ste. Grace Chapter 496.
