Emily I Bailey's Obituary
Emily I. Bailey, age 59 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born January 22, 1949 in Bloomington, Illinois to Robert and Mary (Hobson) Strange. Emily attended elementary school and high school in Arcola, Illinois and was a 1967 graduate of Casey High School. She received a degree in education from Eastern Illinois University in 1971. She was a teacher in Ridgefarm, Illinois from 1971 to 1973, worked at K-Mart for many years, and was an English teacher at Chrisman Junior High School for the past 12 years. Emily enjoyed being with her family, spending time in her yard, and entertaining family and friends. Mrs. Bailey married Stephen C. Bailey July 10, 1971 in Casey, Illinois and he survives. Other survivors include her mother Mary Nichols of Casey, Illinois, one son Trevor Bailey and his wife Angie of Brownsburg, Indiana, one daughter Cara Beth Bailey and her fiancé Ryan Kraemer of Paris, Illinois, two grandchildren, Peyton and Addison Bailey of Brownsburg, Indiana, three sisters, Beverly Kittle and her husband Butch of Fairborn, Ohio, Lynn Whitacre and her husband Don of Casey, Illinois, and Carolee Bailey of Naples, Florida, three brothers, Jim Strange and his wife Linda of Altamont, Illinois, Ron Strange and his wife Peggy of Kankakee, Illinois, and Jon Strange and his wife Diane of Clamouth Falls, Oregon, two aunts, Barbara Webster of Terre Haute, Indiana and Betty Hobson of Casey, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother Tommy, and her step father Everett Woods. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 in Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home, 303 East Wood Street, Paris, Illinois 61944 Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home, 303 East Wood Street, Paris, Illinois 61944 Burial will follow in Casey Cumberland Cemetery in Casey, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to Emily Bailey Memorial Educational Fund for Chrisman Junior High School at Citizens National Bank in Paris, Illinois.
