Elizabeth O Perkins' Obituary
Elizabeth O. Perkins, 92, of Casey, IL passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2010 at Casey Health Care Center, Casey, IL. She was born on June 14, 1918 in Clark County, Illinois, the daughter of Everett Burris and Effie Colvin Burris. On June 26, 1943, she married Walter A. "Si" Perkins, Jr. in Casey, IL. He passed away on November 15, 2001. Survivors include her brother, Bill Burris and wife Carole of Casey, IL; sister, Betty Darling of Casey, IL; sister, Lucy Montgomery and husband Lloyd of Casey, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Eugene Burris, John Burris, Dean Burris, Kenneth Burris, Victor Burris, Buddy Burris, Max Burris, Bobby Burris and sisters, Marjorie Hammond, Maxine Burris and Nancy Burris. Elizabeth was retired after forty-two years of employment with the Ettlebrick Shoe Factory. She was a fifty year member of the First Christian Church in Casey, IL, where she was in charge of the "Meal Committee" for over fifteen years. She was also a Sunday School teacher for many years. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Casey, IL with Rev. Glen Rosborough, Rev. Bob Stephens and Rev. Dana Zartman officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Church. Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, 200 SE Eighth St., Casey, IL 62420. Memorial tributes may be sent to the family at www.markwellfuneralhome.com.
