Earl Davis' Obituary
Earl Davis, 99, of Casey, IL passed away at 6:17 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2007 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. He was born May 30, 1908 in Ash Grove, IL, the son of John W. Davis and Bertha Basham Davis. On November 16, 1935 he married Bernece Comer in Chicago, IL; she passed away on January 24, 1999. Survivors include his son, Norman Earl Davis and wife Judy of Huber Heights, Ohio, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren. His parents, wife, daughter, Janice Lynn Tungett; brother, Marvin Davis and sister, Daisy Cowan, preceded him. Earl was retired from the Department of Agriculture in Kansas City, MO and Chicago, IL. He had previously worked for Booth Fisheries and Rock Island Railroad in Chicago, IL. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Casey, IL. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Mike Naylor officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 200 SE 8th St., Casey, IL 62420.
