Dwight "Toot" Hill, 61, of Annapolis, IL passed away at 8:02 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2010 in Clark County, IL. He was born June 16, 1948 in Robinson, IL; the son of Roy and Ilene Downey Hill. On November 7, 1969 he married Mary Ellen Medsker in Annapolis, IL. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Mary Ellen Hill of Annapolis, IL; son, Eric Hill and wife Kim of Robinson, IL; daughter, Nora May Bowen and husband Andy of Martinsville, IL; brothers, Kenny Hill and wife Mary of Robinson, IL and Gerald Hill and wife Peggy of Robinson, IL; sister in law, Dianna Medsker of Annapolis, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer and Justin Hill and Ethan and Elijah Bowen and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Margaret Hill; brothers, Paul Hill and Deward Hill; father and mother in law, Dean and Nora Medsker and sister in law, Vera Hill. Mr. Hill was a heavy Equipment Operator for Turner Sand and Gravel in Palestine for over thirty years. Dwight enjoyed working outdoors and in his garage. He loved being with his family and working on vehicles and gardening. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, IL with Rev. Kevin Small officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
