Dorothy Ann Sanger's Obituary
(Dorothy) Ann Sanger, 68, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 11:33 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL. She was born December 3, 1944 in Flat Rock, IL, the daughter of Charles Dale Hepner and Elsie Pauline Lewis Hepner. On June 1, 1968 she married Donald Joseph Sanger in Marshall, IL. Survivors include her husband of forty-four years, Donald Sanger of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Christina Leffler and husband Brian of Willow Hill, IL and Deborah Pleij and husband Rudolf of Lelystad, Netherlands; son, Michael Sanger of Martinsville, IL; brothers, Bob Hepner and wife Sue of Valparaiso, IN, and Jerry Hepner of Martinsville, IL; sister Cleo Lawson of Flat Rock, IL; sister in law, Nancy Hepner and five grandchildren, John, Jackson and Kelsie Leffler and Katie and Finn Pleij. She was preceded by her parents, three brothers, Harry Hepner, Don Hepner and Art Hepner and sister, Dixie Best. Mrs. Sanger worked as an assembler for TRW in Marshall, IL for six years and was a member of the Marshall VFW Auxiliary. She was an avid card player and loved to cook. Her kind spirit and smile touched the many lives of her friends and family that she loved so much. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL with Rev. Chris DeWitt officiating. Friends and family will gather at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville, IL for a visitation at 1 p.m. prior to proceeding to the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
