Dorothy J Lacey's Obituary
Dorothy J. Lacey, 93 of Greenup, Illinois passed away on September 5, 2006 at Heartland Manor Nursing Center, Casey, Illinois. Dorothy was born January 31, 1913 in Cumberland County, Illinois the daughter of Logan Dodds and Roxanna Alexander Dodds. She married Otis R. Lacey on May 2, 1936 in Marshall, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1994. Surviving her are two sons, Dennis Lacey and wife Barbara of Greenup, Illinois and David Lacey and wife Pat of Olney, Illinois; four grandchildren, Diane Bolin and husband Jim of Casey, Illinois; Colonel Michael Lacey and wife Valerie of Charlottesville, Virginia; Paula Rosborough and husband Greg of Sumner, Illinois; Amy Box and husband Craig of Saginaw, Texas; and nine great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, two sisters and six brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Lacey was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, Illinois with Brother Tim Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Washington Street Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association or the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
