Doris was a 1930 graduate of Casey High School and attended Eastern Illinois Teachers College for two years and earned enough credits for a Limited Elementary Certificate. The oldest John, now retired, was a physician practicing in Columbus Ohio. Phillip died in infancy. Joseph, now retired, was a Physician's Assistant at the Federal Prison in Terre Haute, IN. The youngest, Bill, left teaching to join his father-in-law in farming in Waverly, IL. Before Farrell's death on June 19, 1986, they enjoyed many years in retirement together, spoiling their nine grandchildren and continuing their civic involvements. Doris now has six great grandchildren. Doris was the president of the United Methodist Women for four years, president of Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for two years, a fifty year member of the Casey Woman's Club as well as the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her sons, John Williams of Fairfield, OH; Joe Williams and wife Sharon of Casey, IL and Bill Williams and friend Brenda McKinley of Waverly, IL; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
