Donna Irene Hammond's Obituary
Donna Irene Hammond, 60, of Casey, IL passed away at 2:08 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at her home. She was born July 12, 1953 in Shelby County, IL, the daughter of Forest Koester and Bonnie Bales Koester. On May 2, 1987 she married Timmy G. Hammond in Englewood, CO. Survivors include her husband, Tim Hammond of Casey, IL; mother, Bonnie Koester of Stewardson, IL; brothers, Steve Koester and wife Irene of Westville, IL and Bradley "Marty" Koester and wife Crystal of Stewardson, IL and many friends including special friends, Debby Briggs-Hutton and Zeena Christopher. She was preceded in death by her father. Donna was a registered nurse at Paris Hospital in Paris, IL. She was a certified infusion and chemotherapy nurse specialist. Donna was a national and local speaker as well as a teacher on PICC line insertion. Donna was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Casey, IL, where she sang in the choir. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 E. Colorado St., Casey, IL with Pastor Michael Kasting officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Graveside inurnment will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL.
