Donna Mae Conner's Obituary
Donna Mae Conner, 87, of Casey, IL passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL. She was born on December 19, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of Don Isbell and Lueveda Sexson Isbell. On June 3, 1956 she married James R. Conner in Mississippi. He passed away in 1995. Survivors include her daughters, Donna Mitchell of Schertz, TX, Linda Darlene Daughhetee of Casey, IL, Patricia Simpson of Cincinnati, OH and Tammie Schmitt of Colchester, VT; sons, Jack Conner and wife Susan of Arcola, IL, Bill Conner and wife Helen of Winter Springs, FL and Jim Conner of Mattoon, IL; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband and sister, Betty Combs. Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, IL. She worked as a door greeter at Wal-Mart for 10 years. She had also previously worked as a CNA and a waitress. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Brother Gene Ellis officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston, IL. Donations may be made to the American Red Cross, 201 W. Washington St., Clinton, IL 61727 or the American Cancer Society, 2509 S. Neil St., Champaign, IL 61820.
