Donald Lee Edwards' Obituary
Donald Lee Edwards, 66, of Westfield, Illinois, passed away at 10:48 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois. He was born on July 11, 1943 in Westfield, Illinois, the son of Clarence William "Cotton" Edwards and Martha Varner Sublett Edwards. In 1994, he married Mary L. Ogden in Oakland, Illinois. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Edwards of Westfield, IL; his sons, Anthony "Andy" Edwards and wife Chris of Casey, IL and Charles Edwards of Westfield, IL; daughter, Shirley Lynn Edwards and special friend Ed Limes of Westfield, IL; step daughter, Lanie Melton and husband Jim of Charleston, IL; step sons, David Jolley and wife Amy of Terre Haute, IN, Terry Jolley and wife Raquel of Algonquin, IL, and Larry Jolley of Westfield, IL; several grandchildren; a great granddaughter; brothers, Wayne Dean Edwards and wife Patty of Charleston, IL and Keith Edwards and wife Barbara of Westfield, IL; sister, Irma Jean Hammond and husband Benjamin of Westfield, IL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Heather Edwards, brothers, Charles Edwards and William Clarence "Billy" Edwards, Jr., and sister, Mary Catherine Goble. Donald was a member of the Westfield United Methodist Church. He was the Owner of Edwards Body Shop in Westfield, IL for over thirty years. He had previously worked for Lindley Chevrolet in Charleston, IL for nearly twenty years. At his request, private family services will be held at a later date.
