Deric Wayne Mullen's Obituary
Deric Wayne Mullen, age 51, of Martinsville, IL passed away unexpectedly at 11:18 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his home in Martinsville, IL. He was born March 6, 1968 in Terre Haute, IN the son of Ernest Earl "Bill" Mullen and Neoma Jean Stephen Mullen. On January 27, 2001 he married Tamara Kaye West in Martinsville, IL. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Mullen of Martinsville, IL; mother Neoma Mullen of Martinsville, IL; brothers, Robert Mullen (Jennifer) of Rockford, IL and Brad Mullen (Pam) of Martinsville, IL; sister, Marcy Myers of Stanley, NC; son, Brant Mullen; grandmother, Mildred Stephen of Martinsville, IL; many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father; Bill Mullen; infant brother, Chad Aaron Mullen; infant niece, Samantha Diane Mullen and brother in law, Robert Myers. Deric was a 1987 graduate of Martinsville High School. He enjoyed spending his life working in the agricultural industry, beginning as a small child helping build grain bins with his Grandpa. Deric was a farm mechanic, truck driver and worked as a farm hand for Simpson Family Farms. He previously worked for Littlejohn Grain in Martinsville, IL for over 20 years. Deric was a lifetime member of First Christian Church in Martinsville and Rocky Mountain Elks Foundation. He was a proud supporter of local 4-H. Deric was a" jack of all trades" and was always happy when he was farming. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at First Christian Church with Brother Randy Black and Brother Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at First Christian Church, 324 N.
