Denzil "Fox" Wolfe's Obituary
Denzil "Fox" Wolfe, 70, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 12:56 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, IL after a brief stay. He was born September 22, 1943 in Clark County, IL, the son of Kenneth E. Wolfe and Rosalee E. Hill Wolfe. On August 12, 1972 he married Janet Sue O'Dell at the First Baptist Church in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife, Janet Wolfe of Martinsville, IL; son, Jay Wolfe and wife Leslie of St. Louis, MO; daughters, Susan Propst and husband Darin of Martinsville, IL and Dinah Wolfe of Martinsville, IL; grandchildren, Payton, Ashley and Ella Propst and Briley and Kiley Wolfe; nephew, George Bishop and wife Serena of Martinsville, IL and great niece, Sarah Bishop of Martinsville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry Eugene Wolfe and sisters, Sarah Helen Wolfe, Anna Jeannette Wolfe and June Elaine Bishop. Mr. Wolfe was a lifelong farmer in the Martinsville, IL area and a member of the Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he taught Bible prophecy. He was a member of the Army National Guard of Terre Haute, IN and the Martinsville American Legion Post 515. Fox enjoyed 1960's music and most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6492 E. 400th Rd., Martinsville, IL with Rev. Kevin Small officiating. Burial will follow in the Butternut Cemetery, rural Martinsville, IL with Graveside Military Rites by the Martinsville American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
