David Keeney's Obituary
David Wayne Keeney, age 43, of Casey, died on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at the Mount Cemetery in Clark County with Father Chris Brey officiating. A reception will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Casey. Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey assisted the family with arrangements. He was born February 7, 1962 in Gary, IN, the son of Glen M. and Wilda Rose Yealick Keeney. He married Patricia Ann Evans on March 31, 2000 in Clark County; she survives. He was a farmer and worked for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for over 18 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Casey, the Casey Moose Lodge and the National Angus Assoc. He was very active in 4-H and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving are his wife Patty, son Evan, daughter Somer, step-daughter Savannah, mother-in-law Pat Veach, brothers Steven Keeney and wife Myrna and Stanley Keeney and wife Deanna, sister Sharon Brandenburg and grandmother Freda Yealick, all of Casey, uncles and aunts Earl and Hazel Veach of Martinsville, Richard and Clara Scott of Casey, and Violet Yealick of Orlando, FL, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Cheryl Keeney and niece Fatema Keeney. Memorials may be made to the Springfield Memorial Burn Unit, 701 N. 1st St., Springfield, IL 62781 or the Junvenile Drug Awareness Program, 207 N. 5th St. Marshall, IL 62441.
