Dan M. Maulding, 65, of Casey, IL passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL. Dan was born on January 24, 1949 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Donald Wayne Maulding and Dorothy Ruth Estes Maulding. On September 13, 1974 he married Kathy S. Honselman in Marshall, IL. Survivors include his wife of almost forty years, Kathy Maulding of Casey, IL; daughter, Melissa Maulding of West Lafayette, IN; son, Bob Maulding of Lafayette, IN; brothers, Don Maulding of Casey, IL and Dick Maulding and wife Janet of Casey, IL; sister, Denise Maulding of Charleston, IL and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dan had a forty year career of providing petroleum products and tires to area farmers and the people of Clark County. He was a US Army Reservist during the Vietnam Era and a member of the Greenup First Southern Baptist Church. He enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with friends in his shop and making the rounds with Gus, his dog. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Brooke Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Greenup First Southern Baptist Church, 101 W US Hwy 40, Greenup, IL 62428 or the Carle Auxiliary Guest House, 602 W. Church St., Urbana, IL 61801 .
