Clorean Finney's Obituary
Clorean Finney, 93, formerly of Annapolis and Oblong, Illinois passed away at 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Woodlawn, Illinois. She was born February 3, 1915 in Westfield, Illinois, the daughter of Calvin E. Brandenburg and Lillie Rogers Brandenburg. On December 3, 1933 she married Arthur Finney in Marshall, Illinois. He passed away on November 27, 1999. Survivors include her son, Gene Finney and wife Shirley of Annapolis, IL; daughter, Doris Adams of Woodlawn, IL; grandchildren, Dana Finney of Greenwood, SC, Pamela Keating of Louisville, KY, Lisa Wilkerson and husband Mitch of Woodlawn, IL, Scarlett Maples and husband Barry of Hunstville, AL, and Kip Adams and wife Kamran of Marion, IL; eighteen great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, son, Charles Finney; son in law, Robert Adams; grandsons, Kelly Finney, James and Jeremy Adams; great grandson, Ethan Adams; brothers, William, Max and Denzil Brandenburg and sisters, Dorthea Downey, Opal Nichols, Ina Cox, Ellen Curley and Clarice Antrican preceded her in death. Mrs. Finney was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Bellair Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Bro. Jimmy Rue officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Chapel Cemetery, Johnson Twp., Clark County, IL. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
