Clella M Hawker's Obituary
Clella M. Hawker, 87, of Hazel Dell, Illinois passed away at St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham, Illinois on Friday, August 18, 2006. She was born October 12, 1918 in Rinard, Illinois the daughter of Harvey Taylor and Lora Melton Taylor. On February 18, 1938 she married Charles Warren, he passed away on November 4, 1940. On July 17, 1955 in Hazel Dell, Illinois she married William Howard Hawker, he passed away on August 31, 1996. Survivors include son, Paul Hawker and wife Dottie of Hazel Dell, IL; daughters, Barbara Holdren and husband Herb of Hazel Dell, IL and Shelby Hawker and husband Herb of Hazel Dell, IL; aunt, Retha Helgeson of Rochelle, IL; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husbands, son, Charles Berl Warren and brother Cecil Taylor. Mrs. Hawker retired as a cook for Casey High School, owned and operated C & J Grocery Store from 1971 through 1978 and a homemaker. She was a member of the Hazel Dell Church of Christ and Ladies Home Extension. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Hazel Dell Church of Christ with Brother Jim Rue officiating. Burial will be in Hazel Dell Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
