Claud C Loftis' Obituary
Claud C. Loftis, 86, of Theodosia, Missouri formerly of the Robinson and Casey, Illinois area passed away at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Baxter Regional Hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born April 30, 1921 in Theodosia, MO; the son of William Curry Loftis and Maude Mae Riggs Loftis. On October 27, 1947 her married Margaret L. Legg in Illinois, she passed away on January 5, 1987. In 1988 he married Velma Carmack in Missouri, she passed away in 2005. Survivors include his daughter, Nancy L. Osborn and husband Jack of Eaton, IL; sons, Claude T. Loftis and wife Cynthia of Robinson, IL; Gary L.Loftis and wife Kay of Robinson, IL and Jerry M. Loftis and friend Debbie Powell of Robinson, IL; Grandchildren, B. J. Osborn, Timmy Lee Loftis, Samantha Lynn Loftis, Corey Loftis and Kristina Loftis and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, sons, infant Larry Gene Loftis and Terry Loftis who passed away on May 27, 2007; sisters, Donea Hutchinson, Lillie Kelley, Faye Johnson and brothers, Elmer, Alvis, Clifford, Raymond, Woodrow and Frank Loftis. Claud was retired after 20 years of service for Marathon Oil Company. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the VFW in Robinson, IL and Theodosia, MO. He was also a member of the Crawford County Shrine Club. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Larry Howard officiting. Burial will be in the Restitution Cemetery, south of Casey, IL with Graveside Military Rites by the Casey VFW and Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Greater Midwest Affiliate, 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60604.
