Christie Lynn Robey Williams, 61, of Champaign, IL passed away on March 29th 2014 at 10:48 p.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL due to complications with a heart transplant. She was born October 22nd 1952 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Dale L. Robey and Beverly Jean Coons Robey. Survivors include her dad Dale Robey of Casey, IL; daughter Michelle L. Dunn and husband Terry of Oakland City, IN; son Dale R. Gentry and wife Chris of Casey, IL; daughter Chenoa L. Anderson and husband Dustin of Champaign, IL; daughter Kisha S. Johnson of Mattoon, IL; grandchildren, Jonathan D. Hill, Breanna N. Gentry, Gabriel O. Haynes, Dakota C. Williams, Tristan J. Dunn, Shaedon M. McCullough, Gavin D. Haynes, Estin D. Jones, Olivia M. Anderson; great granddaughter, Azaellya M. Gentry; sister, Marti Robey-Fox and husband Brendan of Broken Arrow, OK; nieces, Catherine, Emily and Mary Gregory and close friend, Evan Williams of Manteno, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother, son Kenon J. Johnson and grandmother Martha Robey. Christie was a loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her professional life to teaching special education to children. She graduated with a master in special education from Governors State University. For the past 12 years she has dedicated time and energy in raising her disabled grandson Dakota. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 3rd 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Brother Steve Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
