Charlotte Lee Atkins' Obituary
Charlotte Lee Atkins, 75, formerly of Martinsville, Illinois died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in DeKalb, Illinois. She was born December 14, 1937, in Glasgow, Montana, the daughter of Ray Lee and Arlene LaBrie Lee. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Robert Gelinas of Portsmouth, VA; brother Larry (Diane) Lee of Sanford, FL and their family; aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray "Skeet" Lee and mother, Arlene Boyer. Charlotte was a 1956 graduate of Martinsville (IL) High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1960 and a Master's Degree from Northern Illinois University in 1966. Her career and lifelong passion was teaching. She was a business educator at Veedersburg (IN) High School, Yorkville (IL) High School, Miami University (OH), Joliet Junior College (IL), Waubonsee Community College (IL), and Kishwaukee College (IL). She was a member of numerous professional organizations. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. John Gartelos officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
