Charles E "Windy" Warner's Obituary
Charles E. "Windy" Warner, 80, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL. He was born March 17, 1933 in Jewett, IL, the son of Clarence Ellis Warner and Alice Vera Earhart Warner. On August 31, 1951 he married Veryl E. Griffith. She passed away on March 11, 1988. He later married Joyce Ann Authenrieth on May 23, 2004. Survivors include his 100 year old mother, Vera Warner Coleman of Casey, IL; wife, Joyce Warner of Martinsville, IL; sons, Charles "Gene" (Terrie) Warner of Huntington Beach, CA; Richard A. (Susan) Warner of Raleigh, NC and Corey L. (Lissett) Warner of Tavares, FL; stepson, Steve Authenrieth (friend, Janice Weemer) of Mattoon, IL; brother, Howard (Betty) Warner of Martinsville, IL; sisters, Linda (Robert) Davis of Westfield, IL and Ruth (Garry) Storment of Ashmore, IL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; wife, Veryl Warner and brothers, Robert and Dale Warner. Charles was a retired truck driver after working fifty-six years. He had previously worked for Great American Lines in Memphis, TN and Classic Camper & Trailer Sales in Elkhart, IN. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Markwell Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Finney officiating. Burial will follow in the Lindsey Cemetery, rural Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2509 S.
