Charles H Parker's Obituary
Charles H. Parker, 92, of Casey, IL formerly of Kansas, IL passed away at 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL. He was born January 30, 1918 in Kansas, Illinois, the son of John B. Parker and Blanche Beasley Parker. On February 21, 1939 he married N. Lucinda "Cinda" Hammond in Marshall, IL. She passed away on September 26, 2005. Survivors include son, Terry Frederic Parker and wife Sue of Kansas, IL; daughter, DeAnn Sue Parker and husband Bob Lasley of Princeton, IN; grandchildren, Charles Rodney Parker and wife Sherry, Terry Douglas Parker and wife Lisa, Wendy Sue Fuller and husband Don, John Wesley Parker and wife Delana and Darin Paul Urick and wife Pam; eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Nadine Kincaid; brother, Gaillard Parker and great granddaughter, Kintla Leigh Fuller. Mr. Parker was a US Army WWII veteran. He was a retired farmer and was previously employed as the Postmaster and rural mail carrier in Ashmore, IL. He was a member of the Westfield United Methodist Church and the Ashmore American Legion. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, IL with Rev. Jeff Loper officiating. Burial will follow in the Bean Cemetery with graveside military rites by the Casey VFW and Hazel Dell American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the Markwell Funeral Home in Casey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, 303 N.
