Charles Bradley Hix's Obituary
Charles Bradley Hix, 70, of Valparaiso, IN formerly of Martinsville, IL passed away at 6:10 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Portage Hospital, Portage, IN. He was born November 10, 1941 in Anderson Township, Clark County, IL, the son of Norris H. Hix and Dorothy E. Bradley Hix. On August 24, 1963 he married Karen Frances Karrman in Indianapolis, IN. Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Karen Hix of Valparaiso, IN; son, Vincent Charles Hix of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Anna Marie Rounds and husband Michael of Boulder, CO and grandchildren, Maya and Bradley Rounds. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ernestine Carr. Mr. Hix was a retired electrician from Bethlehem Steel. He served as a Boy Scout leader for many years; he had received the Wood Badge Training and the Silver Beaver award in 1984. He was a member of the Jaycees Club and the local Bowling Association. Graveside services will be held on Tuiesday, April 9,. 2013 at 2 p.m. at Auburn Cemetery, Clark Center, IL, with Bro. Billie Ray Ulrey officiating.
