Charles Joseph Goble's Obituary
Charles Joseph Goble, 83, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Burnsides Community Health Center, Marshall, IL. He was born March 9, 1929 in Hutton Twp., Coles County, IL, the son of Albert Clarence "A.C." Goble and Jessie Belle Eldridge Goble. On October 23, 1954, he married Loretta Mae Smith in Casey, IL. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Loretta Goble of Martinsville, IL; daughters, Diane (Wyatt) Reeley of Dixon, IL; Debbie (Rocky) Johnson of Martinsville, IL and Brenda Francis (Mark Marquis) of West Terre Haute, IN; sons, Gary Goble of Casey, IL and Brian (Angel) Goble of Marshall, IL; sisters, Emma Jean Davis of Westfield, IL and Elsie (Clifford) Smith of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Clint (Kacie) Johnson, Ashley Francis, Logan Reeley, Dylan Reeley, Justin Goble, Austin Francis, Bradyn Budde, Leslie Goble and Breah Keim and great grandchildren, Blaykli Francis, Blake Morris and Emily Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lori Ann Goble; brothers, Harold, James, Marion and Calvin Goble and sisters, Eleanor Rupert and Hazel Domurat. Charles was a US Army Korean war veteran. He was a member of the Martinsville American Legion. He was a partner in H&G Spray Service in Casey, IL and retired from Hard-Way Oil Company in Casey, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL with graveside military rites by the Martinsville American Legion. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL. Memorial donations may be made to Martinsville American Legion, PO Box 273, Martinsville, IL 62442. Memorial tributes may be sent to the family at www.greenwellfh.com.
