Chanell Lynn Smith, 28, of Springfield, IL passed away at 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home in Springfield, IL. She was born March 20, 1984 in Gainesville, FL, the daughter of William Henry Smith and Starlet Susan (Childers) Smith Conrad. Survivors include her father, Billy Smith of Casey, IL formerly of Springfield, IL; sons, Alex Letz and Aiden Bridgeman of Springfield, IL; brother, Steven Colston of Phoenix, AZ; stepfather, Gary Conrad and many additional relatives including aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Starlet Conrad. At the family's request, there will be no services. The family would like to thank the Casey United Methodist Church and their congregation for their love and support.
